More on Insurance

12/09/2009

This morning, after sending our daughter to work, this was the sight that greeted us.

Fire01As the fire engine blared its siren to navigate past us and the school traffic parted to let it go to its rescue, Hubby and I wondered where this could be.

Then at the traffic lights, where we stopped for a red light, this was the sight that presented!

Fire02The fire was really intense! We would hear the glass cracking as the inferno raged! I’ll put some video footage on later.

Seeing this happen made me wonder. What a lot of clearing to do and questions to answer. What sort of insurance cover would they have. Would the insurance company be difficult? Worse, what if someone was hurt? WAS there anyone hurt?

Reminded me of these people called the Seattle personal injury attorneys They would be handy at a time like this!

Insurance

09/09/2009

It was that time of the year – renewals galore! First there was the printer. Then there was the fire insurance.

Now it is our personal insurance.

- – - – - – -

O my. You would think that I have gone funny. Let me explain. I started writing the above. Then I found myself falling asleep at the laptop and typing gobbledygook. It not only did not make sense, I was not even typing real words!

Makes you worried really.

What if it happens when you are too tired to drive?

Which is what happened to a friend’s son recently.

He did what his parents taught him to do – he pulled over and tried to catch forty winks.

I say “tried”.

He was suddenly awakened by some people trying at the door of his parents’ Mercedes! Despite being an old junk, the intruders had obviously thought that the driver was fair pickings!

This young man immediately sat up, started the car and drove off.

The problem was, the windows were all steamed up and he couldnt see where he was going.

He crashed the car.

I am glad he wasn’t hurt. And that his parents has insurance such as Medicare supplement insurance - that helps a great deal.

Which is all very good but doesn’t help me with my own problem… Hmmmm… early to bed for a season?

Music!

I LOOOVE music! Some melancholic ones will set me in a downward, quiet, pensive mood. The upbeat ones will raise my spirits. The sentimental ones can bring tears to my eyes. Good lyrics will grab my attention first and foremost. Hence the sometimes noisy, screamy sort of music that some youths go for these days don’t really interest me. In fact, this sort of music is painful to my ears. They always sound angry!

It’s not just music with lyrics of course. I like instrumental ones. The saxaphone and piano are my favourite instruments. The guitar is another. However, whilst it is easy to learn to play, the guitar is an instrument that is hard to master.

Unlike this little chappie who makes it look so efforttless. Sigh….
