We came back from hols in icy, snowy Korea to sunny, hot Sabah. So hot in fact, there have been bush fires breaking out in various places.

Here is one such. Taken from our kitchen window, overlooking the residential homes below.

Glad to say that no one was hurt. It was sad to see people running out of their homes with buckets of water. The fire engine came. But they did little – just dampened the open space which had not yet been touched by fire.

Since taking this photo, I have seen another three fires around my area.
