After an uneventful flight, we land at the small airstrip.

This is the Welcoming Committee!

A double joy to see a familiar face – the lady at the far right had stayed with me not so long ago! They had lovely sweet juicy pineapples to greet us.

The pineapples from this place deserve a paragraph by themselves. Sweet. Juicy. Absolutely made a convert out of me. I had no affinity towards this fruit prior to this trip. In fact, I disliked it. Now, however, I find myself looking for it! At meal times, I was returning for extra helpings. Unheard of!

Which means that in future, I will still not enjoy pineapples, unless they are from this part of paradise-on-earth!
