Honeymoon Continues

30/06/2012

We went for a wedding today.

As we sat down, within minutes, Hubby reached out and pass this to me. Isn’t that lovely?

I love it.

Unbeatable Sunsets

24/06/2012

I’ve said it before. I’ll say it again. We have the most amazing sunsets.

What’s more, this was taken without any special filters. I am amazed.

Just the Thing!

20/06/2012

Some days, you just want a pick-me-up. Especially in the mid-afternoon. Particularly in the humid weather.

On such days and if I was in the office, I would get myself up and walk about. A brisk walk. To and fro and to and fro again. Get the circulation going.

Then I would head to the pantry. With my own cup in hand. And my own bag. Tea bag. Glad for the ever-available hot water supply!

Recently we visited the local tea plantation.

In itself it was a nice stimulating stop during the drive around. The view was amazing, and the tea of course, had to be sampled. Hubby and I enjoyed that little break in our sojourn.

In the Clouds

18/06/2012

The real clouds? Almost. We had taken time out to go away. It was nice. Our view was spectacular, the weather was superb and the company of course, was the absolute best. The best. My best friend. My Hubby.

Cloud nine? You bet (Not that I bet) Best anniversary gift in thirty years….!  Looking forward to more with him!

Nest Hideaway

17/06/2012

After a busy day at work we left. Hot, sweaty, humid. We headed to a place in the clouds. Well, almost in the clouds. More like in the trees. A cool, picturesque hideaway.

Look outside our bedroom door and see this.

Isn’t this nice! Our home for two nights!

The sun is a Star

13/06/2012

No filters. No special events. Just point and shoot.

And what wonderful results!

Can’t be reproduced. Not two sunsets are the same and no two modus operandi will be like the other.

And no, I didn’t have any filters on my camera for this shot. Just my little point and shoot. Nice eh?

What Did I Tell You?

11/06/2012

Treated to yet another! What did I say earlier?

This was taken as I walked along the ridge where I live. It is the minimum of a good 2+km walk each time, depending on the route I take. But this is my favourite – where I get to see the sunset over parts of the city. Somehow there is a comfort to watch it go down. As if it was about to tuck itself in bed after a long day. But it made sure all was well first. So it lingered as it fades. And even after going beyond the horizon, the rays of light still reach out a while more…. just to make sure you know…

Best Sunsets

09/06/2012

I kid you not. We have the best sunsets ever. Each one is specially crafted. There are no two alike.

What’s more, there is no need to edit. Take this one below here. Zero editing required.

Almost as if the sea is painted half reddy gold.

Needless to say, Hubby and I sat till it got dark, listening the lapping waves breaking on the rocks below, feeling the breeze coming in from the sea, and just enjoying the beauty and each other’s company. Nice eh?

Pearl Anniversary

07/06/2012

Soon, Hubby and I will be celebrating our Pearl Wedding Anniversary. That shows our age!

In our day and age, divorce was not as common as today. When a marriage broke down, and there were suspicion of who the father of the children are, , lawyers will advise that paternity  tests be done. Clients are often advised to go for reputable and acceptable procedures to avoid any uncertainty. When matrimonial suits are filed, children are clearly identified, it makes a traumatic event a little manageable.

Having said that, Hubby and I are planning a getaway. But I cant let out the secret details yet….! More to come!

Powerful Natural Elements

07/06/2012

Wow, what happened?! In seconds the weather has changed. The winds are howling outside as I sit and type this.

Actually I could hear the winds approaching from afar because our house is perched on a hill.

Now, the curtains are being pulled towards the windows because of the negative pressure from the air being forced into a narrow space between the buildings.

Soon, I am sure the rains will come a-lashing down.

Such times….. I am just glad I can snuggle down to sleep. Though I do give a thought about the less fortunate….. And I wonder how much damage and debris there will be tomorrow.
